NNNC is helping to support the following charities for the 2011-12 club year:

October: Ecumenical Adult Care of Naperville:
This is a senior citizen daycare program for those requiring a supervised environment.  It allows the clients an opportunity to socialize and be involved in organized activities.  Nutritious meals and snacks are provided.

November:
Humanitarian Service Project Children’s Program:

Through donations, children in DuPage County, living at or below the poverty level, receive gifts at Christmas.

December:360 Youth Services:

360 Youth Services (formerly known as NCO) provides counseling and crisis intervention for runaways/lockouts, short term housing for male teens and young adults, and substance abuse prevention in the local school districts.

January: Arabella House:

Arabella - Italian for "answered prayer" - offers residential care for female adolescents and adults ages 16 and older who are recovering from an eating disorder and need assistance shifting back into their daily lives. As one of the only centers in Illinois to offer residential care for eating disorders, Arabella House provides a safe environment that enables residents to learn to become responsible for their own health and happiness.

February: P.A.D.S.:

DuPage P.A.D.S. works to end and prevent homelessness in DuPage County. They have programs and services for men, women, and children who are homeless. They provide case management, employment readiness, life skills enhancement, resources and referrals.

March: Naperville Humane Society:

A private facility supported by volunteer and community donations, finds homes for hundreds of dogs and cats each year, provides educational programs, and a community hotline for behavior issues regarding pets

April: Families Helping Families:

Founded in 1994 by a local resident, this organization assists homeless families, or those coming from an abusive situation, find shelter and a new way of life for themselves.

May: Loaves and Fishes:

This is Naperville’s only food pantry, which provides basic food and personal items to over 9000 individuals a year.

This national organization, with a local chapter in Bolingbrook, collects and makes baby gowns, socks, blankets, and other essential baby items. Emphasis is on very small, premature babies. It delivers these needed items to individuals, hospitals, homeless shelters, and other charities.

NNNC Scholarship

In 2008, NNNC established a scholarship program for graduating high school students in Naperville’s 203 and 204 school districts.  NNNC awards yearly two scholarships in the amount of $1000 to two students who have attained the following:

  • Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Being a student of the District 203 or 204 for at least 6 semesters prior to graduation
  • Community service, volunteer or leadership experience.

The awarded scholarship may be used toward any accredited college, university or vocational institution’s tuition.
